What is Receiptimer?

Welcome to Receiptimer!

Receiptimer is a unique productivity app that combines the scientifically proven Pomodoro Technique with a playful, retro shopping receipt visual design.

Name Origin

"Receiptimer" is a portmanteau of Receipt and Timer. The concept of printing your focus records as a receipt is embedded in the name itself.

🧾 A New Way to Feel Accomplishment

With traditional timer apps, numbers simply count down, leaving you without a tangible record of how hard you worked today.

Receiptimer fixes this by printing every finished Pomodoro session as an individual line item on a highly realistic receipt, sorted chronologically (oldest to newest):

  • "English Study ...... 25m"
  • "Programming ...... 50m"
  • "Client Meeting ...... 25m"

These items print down the receipt page as time goes by. At the end of the day, you can look back at your "receipt of effort" and save or share (tear & share) it to feel an overwhelming sense of accomplishment.

🏆 Point Card & Reward System

Receiptimer includes a point card system designed to make sustained focus fun and rewarding.

  • Earn a stamp for each completed Pomodoro session
  • When you collect enough stamps, your point card is completed and a title is unlocked
  • Unlocked titles can be printed on your receipt, showcasing your dedication
  • Example titles: "Pomodoro Beginner", "Focus Seeker", "Time Master", and more

It's a gamified motivation system unique to Receiptimer that keeps you going.

⏱️ The Pomodoro Technique Basics

The app intelligently handles the classic time-management cycle to keep your brain focused:

  1. Pomodoro (Focus) Session (25 mins) Select a category, eliminate distractions, and focus entirely on your task.
  2. Short Rest (5 mins) Take a quick break to stretch, drink water, and refresh your mind.
  3. 4-Round Cycle Repeat the 25-minute focus + 5-minute break cycle 4 times.
  4. Long Rest (15-30 mins) After completing the 4th pomodoro, a longer break automatically starts to let your brain fully recover before the next round.
