FAQ

Find quick answers to common questions about using Receiptimer.

Q. What is the "Long Rest" that starts after 4 rounds?

A. Receiptimer follows the standard, scientifically proven Pomodoro Cycle. After you successfully complete 4 rounds (each consisting of a 25-minute focus session and a 5-minute short break), the app automatically triggers a 15 to 30-minute Long Rest (customizable in settings). This allows your mind to fully recharge.

Q. Why do I see a "Silent Mode" warning banner?

A. When your phone is muted or set to vibrate, Android may block background app alarm audios. The banner is a helpful reminder to either keep an eye on the screen or temporarily enable media/ring volumes if you want to hear the end-of-timer alarm.

Q. The "Share" button is not working.

A. Sharing generated images requires permission to write temporary files to your local storage. Please open your device's Settings -> Apps -> Receiptimer -> Permissions, and verify that "Photos and Videos" (or "Storage") is enabled.

Q. Does the timer continue running when the app is in the background?

A. Yes! Receiptimer uses an Android Foreground Service to keep track of time accurately. A notification showing the remaining time will appear in your status bar, and your phone will ring/vibrate upon completion. Note: Some devices with aggressive battery savers may kill background tasks. If your timer freezes, please go to your phone's battery settings and add Receiptimer to the "Battery Optimization / Saver Exclusions" list.

Q. My point card stamps aren't increasing. Why?

A. Stamps are only awarded when you complete a Pomodoro session. If you abort a session mid-way, no stamp is given as a penalty. Break time also does not count toward stamps.

Q. Is Lifetime Pro a subscription?

A. No, it's a one-time purchase (¥320 tax incl.). Once purchased, all PRO features are available forever. There are no monthly or annual recurring charges.

Q. Can I use PRO features on multiple devices?

A. PRO purchase status is managed per device. If you install the app on another device with the same account, you may need to purchase again. However, reinstalling on the same device will restore your PRO status.

Q. How do I change the title shown on my receipt?

A. Titles are unlocked automatically by completing point cards. Once unlocked, you can select which title to display on your receipt from the Settings screen.
